March 21, 2001 Performed Black Sect Tantric Buddhist Funeral Blessing Service for Holly Yan, a volunteer in charge of daily operations at Lin Yun Monastry. The visualization and chants of the blessing was for the comfort and peace of Holly's spirit. The topic for this year's assembly was "Creating Peace Together for the 21st Century." Within activities hosted by 2001 World Citizen's Assembly was " The World Citizens on Peace Ceremony" and in it there was a "World-Wide Blessing Ceremony for Global Love and World Peace," Grandmaster Lin Yun, together with other leaders of various religions performed blessings for world peace. April 3, 2001 Attended the National Asian Pacific Center on Aging's Benefit Dinner Banquet in Honor of Dr. John B. Tsu, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for Advocacy. Among the many accomplishment of Dr. Tsu, he is currently Chairman of the Asian American Republican Coalition Bush for President; Regent of John F. Kennedy University; Chairman of the Board, University of Armstrong; and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, International Technology University. During the banquet, Professor Lin Yun congratulated Dr. and Mrs. Tsu and offered a blessing to them as well as all who were in attendance. Many friends from the Yun Lin Temple were there to congratulate Dr. Tsu, including Superintendent of Yun Lin Temple, Dr. Sechin Jagchid and CEO Ms. Crystal Chu. Dr. Tsu has always been helpful and caring of Professor Lin Yun, and has continually supported Black Sect Tantric Buddhist activities.
